The company was founded by Leland W. Foote in 1993 to assist displaced employees find new employment that utilizes their unique skill sets. Today, we deliver national and regional outplacement and career services to a wide range of organizations and companies.
We also provide strategic organizational management consulting and leadership development services. Success in these areas is a result of our ability to combine business strategy with organizational human performance.
Our service offerings are constantly being refined and expanded to better serve our clients. However, we have never compromised our commitment to provide customized solutions to best meet our clients’ needs.

The Brighton Group’s management and client-care team brings extensive experience and passion to each client we serve. Additionally, we proactively supplement our core team of coaches and consultants with a skilled staff to quickly respond to client needs and provide specialized support.
Leland W. Foote
CEO
Responsible for strategic direction, service architecture, and quality outcomes.
Lee is the founder and architect of The Brighton Group. With more than 25 years of experience in human resources, management, executive search, and outplacement consulting, Lee has worked extensively with senior management in wide-ranging organizations. He holds a Master's Degree from Oregon State University.
Christopher J. Ihrig
Vice President and General Manager
Responsible for business development, strategic direction, quality outcomes, and team growth and leadership.
Chris partners with senior leadership in a variety of for-profit and nonprofit organizations in the development and implementation of talent management platforms. Chris' consulting areas of expertise include: talent management systems, philosophy development and implementation; succession planning; 360° appraisals; performance systems; cultural change programs; organizational assessments and surveys; executive coaching; leadership development and facilitation.
Susan H. Stringer
Vice President
Responsible for business development and selected delivery of career transition, career management, and organizational transition services.
With more than 20 years of human resources, recruiting, and outplacement experience in a wide variety of organizational settings, Susan has contributed significantly to the strengthening of our transition consulting practice, particularly with complex and sensitive assignments. She holds an M.A. degree from Pacific Lutheran University and has served on its Board of Regents.
Sheila Delaney Duke
Vice President
Responsible for business development and selected delivery of Executive Coaching, leadership development, retreat facilitation and career transition services.
Sheila develops leaders and teams into the best they can be, facilitates group experiences that raise the bar, and supports organizations (and their people) through transition and crisis. She uses her extensive Coaching experience, formal education – both Business and Law – and innate sense of wonder to ensure everyone is asking the right questions and the hard questions. Her clients know there is opportunity in crisis and make better strategic and relational decisions as a result.
